The Green Card Lottery (also called the Diversity Visa Lottery or the Diversity Visa Program) is an annual drawing of 55,000 green cards among residents of countries from which people rarely immigrate legally to the United States. Winners are chosen randomly.

You must have completed secondary education (graduated from 11th grade of a school or a secondary specialized educational institution) or 2 years of confirmed work experience from the last 5 years in a highly qualified specialty.
